Click the 'List your accommodation' link in the 'Accommodation' box to the left of the page.
This will take you to the accommodation properties page where you simply enter all the relevant information.
Once you click the 'save listing' button your listing is registered in our database and will immediately start displaying. However, an e-mail address validation message is sent to the e-mail address used to register your accommodation. This e-mail contains a link that you must click to validate your e-mail address. If you do not validate your e-mail address your listing will be deleted after seven days.
Please ensure that you are able to receive e-mail from the Room2010.co.za domain and that your spam filter does not block these messages.
It may be that you entered your e-mail address incorrectly in which case an e-mail can never reach you. Give it some time and if you do not receive the mail within a day you could try re-listing. Please check your e-mail address carefully.
It may also be that your spam filter has rejected the message from the Room2010.co.za domain.
You can check your e-mail spam or junk-mail folder for the message.
If, however, you cannot locate the message please add the Room2010.co.za domain as a trusted domain in your spam filter and re-register your accommodation.
Should you have to re-register the previous registration will be deleted automatically.
What you want to charge is totally up to you. However, a good guide would be anything up to R800 per person per night.
The more you offer the tourists (such as meals, domestic worker, etc.) the more you can charge.
Please remember that although this is an opportunity to earn extra income many of the tourists will be ordinary folks that would appreciate a good deal.
Every listing is free.
Premium Listing
You do, however, have the option of upgrading to a premium listing.
A premium listing allows you not only to send 10 photos to load but also ensures that your listing will always be displayed before the free listings. Online booking management is also available for premium listings and allows you to register any bookings made against your listing. This will allow visitors to the site to view the availability of your listing for the months of May, June, and July 2010.
Another consideration is that the mobile site (http://m.room2010.co.za) only displays premium listings. So should tourists use their cellphones to find accommodation the premium listings are obviously at quite an advantage.
Once you have registered your listing simply drop us an e-mail requesting payment details for your listing.
We are able to find the listing using your name, e-mail address, or listing number. So if any of this information is in the e-mail we will send off the details; else we will contact you if we need anything extra.

To upgrade you only pay once. The once-off fee per listing is determined
by the month in which you upgrade and the cost is as follows:

- From 1 June 2010: R500

We, as Room2010, also do not grade or prescribe any level of accommodation. Once again, please remember that we would like to portray South Africa in the best possible light so it may not be a good idea to make your double garage available as accommodation.
It is a good idea to have a standard contract that protects you from any frivolous litigation such as food poisoning or injury.
We aim to make a free, simple, contract available electronically on the site for download.

Think of Room2010 as providing classified advertisement space available to you (with a free option) just as a newspaper would. Once your listing is in Room2010 steps out of the way and allows all communication and transacting between yourself and the tourist.
The direct link to a listing is http://www.room2010.co.za/accommodation/browse/{listing number} (all on one line). Replace {listing number} with your listing number.
To easily find your listing you can enter the listing number in the 'keywords / listing number' field in the 'accommodation' box to the left and then click the 'find' button.
Search results are limited to 300 listings. This means that although there may be many more listings that satisfy the search criteria only the first 300 relevant results will be displayed.
All listings are displayed on a round-robin basis.
However, premium listings are always displayed before free listings. This means that the more premium lisings there are the less a free listing will be displayed since it is sharing the remaing space with other free listings.
So if your listing is a free listing it will in all likelihood not be displayed very often but it will be displayed if it meats the search criteria and the premium listings have not moved it off the search result list.
Another thing to bare in mind is that when a check-in date is specified only premium results are returned. The mobile site also only returns premium results.

Maak asseblief seker dat u e-pos vanaf die Room2010.co.za domein kan ontvang en dat u pespos filtreerder nie die boodskappe stop of verwyder nie.
Dit is moontlik dat u u e-posadres verkeerd ingevoer het in welke geval u nooit 'n e-pos sal ontvang nie. Indien u nog niks binne een dag ontvang het nie kan u gerus weer u inligting invoer om weer te lys. Gaan asseblief u e-posadres noukeurig na.
Dit is ook moontlik dat u pespos filtreerder die boodskap vanaf die Room2010.co.za domein onderskep het.
U kan u e-pos pespos ('spam') of gemorspos ('junk-mail') gids nagaan om te kyk of die boodskap nie dalks daar lê nie.
Indien u nie die bekragtigings e-pos kan opspoor nie en u is seker dat die Room2010.co.za domein gestel is sodat dit vertrou word deur die pespos filtreerder sal u weer u inligting moet invoer om die plasing te voltooi.
Sou u 'n tweede keer u inligting moes invoer sal die eerste plasing outomaties binner sewe dae verwyder word.
Die koste wat die toeris aan u moet betaal is heeltemal u eie keuse. Maar 'n redelike koers behoort tot R800 per persoon per nag te wees.
Hoe meer u bied (soos maaltye, bediende, ens.) hoe meer kan u vra.
Onthou asseblief dat alhoewel hierdie 'n goeie geleentheid is om 'n ekstra paar Rand in die sak te druk die toeriste maar gewone mense is en 'n goeie kopie sal waardeur.
Elke plasing is heeltemal gratis.
Voorkeurplasing
U het die opsie om op te gradeer na 'n voorkeurplasing.
'n Voorkeurplasing laat u toe om tot 10 fotos te stuur wat teen u plasing gelaai word. Alle voorkeurplasings word altyd voor die gratis plasings vertoon. Daar is ook aanlyn besprekingsfunksionaliteit wat u toelaat om enige besprekings vir u plasing te registreer. Dit het die gevolg dat enige besoekers op die webwerf die beskikbaarheid van u plasing sal kan sien gedurende Mei, Junie, en Julie 2010.
Nog 'n oorweging is dat die mobiele webwerf (http://m.room2010.co.za) slegs voorkeurplasings vertoon. So indien toeriste hul selfoon gebruik om verblyf te bekom het die voorkeurplasings natuurlik 'n baie groot voordeel.
Sodra u plasing geregistreer is kan u sommer 'n e-pos stuur en vra vir die betalingsbesonderhede van u plasing.
Ons vind dan u plasing d.m.v. u naam, e-posadres, of plasingsnommer. Indien enige van hierdie inligting bevat word in die e-pos sal ons die besonderhede kan aanstuur; andersins kontak ons u indien ons verdere inligting benodig.
Daar is 'n eenmalige bedrag betaalbaar om tot 10 fotos op te laai. U hoef nie al 10 prente op een slag te stuur nie maar let asseblief daar op dat indien bestaande prente verander word is daar 'n bedrag van R10 per verandering betaalbaar.

Dit is inderdaad 'n goeie idee om 'n standaard kontrak met alle bewoners op te stel om u te beskerm teen dagvaarding vir allerhande strooi soos voedselvergiftiging of beserings.
Ons sal ppog om mettertyd 'n gratis, standaard kontrak elektronies beskikbaar te stel op die webwerf wat u dan kan aflaai.

Soek resultate word beperk tot 300 plasings. Dit beteken dat alhoewel daar meer as 300 plasings mag wees wat voldoen aan die soek kriteria slegs die eerste 300 relevante plasings vertoon word.
Alle plasings word op 'n rondomtalie wyse vertoon.
Neem in ag dat voorkeurplasings altyd voor gratis plasings vertoon word. Dit beteken hoe meer voorkeurplasings daar is hoe minder sal 'n gratis plasing vertoon word aangesien dit plek moet deel met die ander gratis plasings.
So indien u plasing nie 'n voorkeurplasing is nie sal dit in alle waarskynlikheid nie gereeld vertoon nie maar dit sal wel vertoon word indine dit voldoen aan die soek kriteria en dit nie van die soekresultaatlys afgeskyf is deur voorkeurplasings nie.
Nog iets om in gedagte te hou is dat indien 'n "check-in" datum gespesifiseer word slegs voorkeurplasings in die resultate sal verskyn. Die mobiele webwerf vertoon ook net voorkeurplasings.
